Gagang Cengkeh (Clove Stem)

Clove stems are the stems of clove buds, which contain fragrant oil, a key ingredient in perfume. Once considered waste by farmers, clove stems now have commercial value and a potential market in the Netherlands and Japan. In Indonesia, clove stems are used in the manufacture of kretek cigarettes.
