Kemiri (Candlenut)
Candlenuts are nuts obtained from the Aleurites moluccanus tree, prized for their high oil content and ability to thicken and enrich dishes. In Indonesia, candlenut cultivation is widespread across many islands, reflecting their integral role in local cuisine. Indonesia is a significant producer and consumer of candlenuts, which are also found in other tropical regions such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and parts of Oceania.
